Huddersfield Prostate Cancer Support Group

The group primarily provides support to those in Huddersfield, and surrounding areas, affected by prostate cancer.

This includes those who have been recently diagnosed; those making a decision about treatment; those currently having treatment and those who are getting on with their lives post-treatment.

We also provide support for partners of those affected.

The Support Group was formed in March 2022 and met in the offices of Platform 1, a charity based in the centre of Huddersfield offering Mental Health and Counselling Support.

Platform 1’s support was crucial in setting up our group. They offered us a place to meet, tea and coffee and a warm welcome. As the group developed and grew, we needed a larger space and subsequently moved to a meeting room at the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

A huge thanks is due to Platform 1 for their initial hosting and support.
